Separation of Blogs

I was right about the alphabetical thing. Actor/Astrologer – I’m more likely now to remember what I do on the side. Although which side is on the side is moot.

coloring-pages-alphabet-letters-letter-a2 (1)But this post is not to mingle these two occupations. Rather to separate them.

Response from the theatre-savvy people who read this page has been mixed. Some of us leap like young gazelles into the mystic. Some are quietly interested (in this category is one friend who has taken to calling me Madame Arcati). And some are reluctant to believe it, up to and including my personal favorite, a message from one friend after one of my promo emails, asking me if I’d been hacked.

So after this post I’ll keep the Acting here and the Astrology over there. McPhillamyTarot.com is now up and running, and there’s a brand new astro-tarot blog starting. If the stars call to you, by all means check it out.

And let me remind you that for the first 90 days in business, I’m offering a pay-what-you’re-happy-to-pay (with a zero minimum) aka a FREE sample.

Ok enough about that. Except to say that in my researches I’ve been taking in the mind-altering discoveries made possible by the Hubble telescope — you know the one I mean? The one that orbits the earth, the one that when they pointed it at a single fragment of sky they discovered billions of galaxies. Er, let me say that again, billions of galaxies. And just looking at one tiny piece of the infinite sky. The universe is a big place.

Compared to the infinite endlessness and abundance, anything that astrology could say is kind of … local. Or is it …? 52940_letter_a_lg

I won’t say any more here, but these and other questions will be explored over there, at mcphillamytarot.com

Except I will say that the day the Creator of the Infinitude of the Multiplicity — aka in some circles, GOD, and by many other names — was bored, and looking for a way to stir things a bit, well on that day S/HE invented … The Audition.

Yes, but it took the guy downstairs to come up with the call-back, or what we used to call in England, the recall.

Eee but it’s a tough gig being alive …

Or as Shakespeare puts it:

“… Such harmony is in immortal souls;
But whilst this muddy vesture of decay
Doth grossly close it in, we cannot hear it.”

Dear Colin,

Happy Year of the Monkey!

I have been really enjoyed reading your blogs!

It has been a long time since we talked to each other. How are you? I hope everything is going well with you!

I am planning to tour Australia this summer or next summer. I am just wondering if you have any contacts for places that I could give a concert or we can perform together.

Here is a link of my newest multimedia work “Gao Hong On The Highway”. All the stories are of my true driving mishaps. I composed the background music with loops and synthesizer and pre-recorded them with the video clips. Then I interacted with live pipa music.

I got so many emails after the concert. Here are some of them I would like to share with you: ### “The best concert I’ve ever seen in my life” “Amazing music, amazing video and lighting. It made the best show ever!!!” “This is the perfect combination of traditional Chinese music with new creation. It’s not just fun, it’s also so touching. It was the best and most perfect concert!” “Your show was delightful! You say “crazy”. I say “adorable”!” “How fun your show was! Thank you for your risk taking and the time you spent creating it. Humor is medicine for the soul.” “I haven’t laughed so hard in a long time…” “I laughed so hard, I cried…” “We truly enjoyed the concert! Thank you for such a wonderful performance!” “I laughed for 30 minutes without stopping…” “More please…”

I hope you will enjoy my performance. I am looking forward to hearing from you!

Best,

Gao Hong

Hello Colin, it was great to receive this and your previous post offering such an interesting alternative to your work and a gift to those of us who use such tools to keep us open to the forces that guide us…I use a number of ‘guides’ in my life and work…it helps to keep me centered and gives me great support through the challenging times…I’m back in Christchurch performing and directing for The Court, an anchor after much upheaval doing the past year…
My life has completely been changed by circumstances I didn’t see coming…I still don’t know what’s ahead but using each production to keep me steady and focussed… I would love to have you do a reading for me…

You had a fee in one of your last posts..could you let me know what that is and how to pay you from this distant shore…
I have a few ideas of what I may want to do over the next year – it will be interesting to see what the cards bring through…
What information do you require from me…
Congratulations on this work…
Steven Ray
